Benjamin Catchpole is a highly experienced Technical Sales Area Manager with over two decades in the marine coatings and maintenance sector.

 

With a strong foundation in boat repairs and spray application, he now specialises in providing expert technical sales support and specification guidance across the East and Central UK. Known for his practical knowledge, attention to detail, and approachable manner, Benjamin works closely with customers to recommend tailored solutions, deliver product demonstrations, and provide ongoing training.

Marine Industrial LLP, Norfolk — April 2015 to Present

  • Responsible for technical sales and client support across the East and Central UK. Key duties include:

  • Creating detailed paint specifications and tailored quotations

  • Delivering product demonstrations and on-site training

  • Supporting marine businesses with day-to-day technical advice

  • Working with leading brands including Jotun, Alexseal, Epifanes, Plexus, Sika, Bostik, 3M, Seajet, and West System

  • Sourcing new clients and building strong long-term relationships

Spray Shop Operative / Boat Repairs

Fox’s Marina Ltd, Suffolk — April 2003 to 2015

  • Hands-on role covering all aspects of boat maintenance, repairs, and specialist spray work. Responsibilities included:

  • Managing new projects and advising customers on coatings

  • Using a wide range of marine-grade systems including Awlgrip, Alexseal, Jotun, Epifanes, epoxy, acrylic and polyester

  • Experience with Coppercoat, Sika, 3M, International, and Hempels products
